Tree Water Status Affects Tree Branch Position

چکیده

Physiological processes cause movements of tree stems and branches that occur in a circadian rhythm over longer time periods, but there is lack quantitative understanding the cause-and-effect relationships. We investigated movement long-term drought experiment at scale using time-series terrestrial laser scanning measurements coupled with environmental drivers water status. Our results showed was largely explained by leaf status measured as potential controlled environment for both trees (R2 = 0.86 R2 0.75). hypothesis changes branch would further supported strong relationship between vapor pressure deficit overnight [0.57–0.74]). Due to lower atmospheric demand during nighttime, settle down amount leaves increases. The indicate quantified could help us monitor understand relations communities.
